We are seeking Aged Care Workers to join our wonderful team St Basil’s Randwick.

About the role

This role is central to our person-centred approach promise which ensures we aim to enhance the psychological, spiritual, social, emotional, and physical well-being of our residents.

Working collaboratively with our nursing team, the role is responsible for providing provide high-quality personal care to our clients based on their individual needs. This includes assisting them with daily life tasks, personal care and mobility. The needs and wishes of individual residents are met as a priority and we deliver services and supports that ensure the health and wellbeing of our residents.

What the essential requirements for the role are:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or in Aged Care
  • Experience working in residential aged care (preferred)
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide quality care and exceptional service
  • Passion for enhancing the lives of older people and for working in aged care
  • An understanding of the needs of people living with dementia
  • Respectful approach that supports people based on their choices
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as the confidence to work independently
