About the role

This role is central to our person-centred approach promise which ensures we aim to enhance the psychological, spiritual, social, emotional, and physical well-being of our residents.  The Leisure & Lifestyle team is here to help make that a reality!

As a part of Leisure and Lifestyle team you will have the satisfaction to ensure whole-of-person care to connect with our residents, get to know them and their interests, and provide a relaxed and gratifying experience where people feel like they are part of a community.

Under the general direction of the Lifestyle and Leisure Manager you will:

  • Deepen the cultural experience for our residents
  • Deliver recreation activities to our residents and actively support them to maintain their physical, intellectual, emotional, cultural, and social wellbeing
  • Ensure individual resident’s needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences are considered when providing recreational activities
  • Complete documented assessments and review of resident participation and engagements
  • Ensure effective and mutually beneficial relationship with our residents and their loved ones.

What the essential requirements for the role are:

  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or willingness to undertake further training
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and ACFI or the ability to learn
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with email and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to maintain collaborative and effective relationships with all multidisciplinary team members
  • Experience working in residential aged care (preferred)
